AIOU LMS Portal

If you are a student of AIOU, then this guide will help you to understand how to use and access the portal in the best possible way. We will also go over how to register and log-in to the eLearning site, click around the portal, find your course, and eventually submit assignments.

1: Accessing the AIOU LMS Portal

1. Visit the Official AIOU Website:
   • First and foremost, you will have to get into the AIOU LMS portal. Enter the url of the site. Or you can also type “AIOU LMS” on Google and find the official site.
2. Google Search Option:
   • Open Google and search for “AIOU LMS” or “AIOU Portal.” Click on the link that appears for the official AIOU website. Once there, scroll down, and you will see the LMS portal login option. Click on the login button to proceed.

2: Logging into the LMS Portal

1. User ID and Password:
   • When you access the LMS site, you will be prompted to provide your User ID and Password. Your User ID is most likely your registration number. For those students who have received their login credentials via sms, credentials will remain same.
2. In Case You Don’t Have the Credentials:
   • In case you haven’t got the login details, you may login using your registration number. Make sure to capitalize the registration number.
3. Password Format:
   • If you don’t have a password, you can create one by following this format:
   • Your password will be the last four digits of your form number after you have entered your name in capital letters with a space in between the 2 words Then followed by the two capital letter from your first name. So, if you are Ahmed Ali and last 4 of your registration number are 1234, your password can be AL1234.
4. Login Process:
   • After entering the user ID and password, click the Login button to access your account.

3: Navigating the LMS Dashboard

Upon logging in, you will be directed to the LMS Dashboard where you will see links related to the learning programs you are enrolled in and other learning resources. The following are the primary areas of the LMS portal:

1. Home Tab:
   • The Home tab shows an overview of all available courses at AIOU. You can browse and see the categories of all available programs and courses here.
2. My Courses:
   • The My Courses section will display a list of the courses you are enrolled in. Each course will have a unique course code and subject name.
3. Assignments:
   • You will find all your assignments by searching the Assignments section. For example, any assignment with a due date will appear here. You can access again the section where you vote your homework here.
4. Workshops and Practical Sessions:
   • AIOU offers workshops for certain subjects. You can find the schedule and details for these workshops in this section. Make sure to attend and track the workshops based on your course requirements.

Step 4: Submitting Assignments

1. Find the Assignment:
   • Navigate to the Assignments section of your course. Here, you will find all your assignments, including their due dates.
2. Submit Your Work:
   • To submit an assignment, click on the specific assignment code. You will be redirected to a page where you can upload your assignment. Make sure that the file size is within the acceptable limit (usually up to 10 MB).
3. Uploading Files:
   • After clicking the Submit Assignment button, you will be asked to upload the file. Ensure your file is in the correct format (such as PDF or DOC). Once uploaded, click the Submit button to finalize the process.

Step 5: Accessing Workshops

AIOU conducts online workshops for many courses. Here’s how you can attend these workshops:

1. Access the Workshop Section:
   • In your course dashboard, locate the Workshops section. Each workshop will have a date and time listed.
2. Attend the Workshop:
   • If the workshop is scheduled for that day, click the Attend Workshop button to join. You will be redirected to the video conference platform where you can interact with instructors and other students.

Step 6: Using Digital Library and Resources

AIOU provides access to a Digital Library where students can access study materials and other resources:

1. Digital Library:
   • To access this library, click on the Digital Library tab. Here, you can explore and download educational resources such as e-books, journals, and research papers.
2. Video Tutorials:
   • If you need additional help with your course, the portal also provides video tutorials that you can watch to enhance your learning experience.

Step 7: Troubleshooting Common Issues

1. If You Can’t Log in:
   • If you can’t log in using your registration number and password, then refer to the process shared above to retrieve the same. You might also have to write to the regional office.
2. Technical Support:
   • If you face any technical issues while using the portal, you can contact AIOU support via email or visit the regional office for assistance. The portal provides the contact information for all the regional offices in Pakistan.
